I do have a Bundy Conn stencil bari that is very similar in construction. I am retired and restore saxophones as a hobby so I am familiar with a good job of restoration. The workmanship on this sax is the best. I look at things such as the neatness of the cork job, springs replaced as needed, how the pads center on the tone holes, key action and cosmetic appearance. This is a mid 1940s Martin and serial #159600 (1945/46) which is considered to be THE BEST ! for those horns ! Committee on which Miles Davis played as well as Chet Baker and other greats. This Martin is in excellent condition with very minor spots of wear and scratches on the ORIGINAL FINISH which became darker over this long period of time. Valves as well as the whole instrument look and work outstanding ! I sold quite a few of those Martin trumpets.

This is one of a few in best original condition ! Serial shown on photos. Trumpet comes with original case in excellent condition ! It`s an amazing horn which has a super low playing time and was preserved in this case for all of this time. This is M bore Martin about 0.453" bore. This Martin is in great playing shape with smooth valves and all slides coming out ( popping out ). Valve compression is PERFECT !!! and those move smooth and fast with just right springs for those fast jazz passages. THERE ARE NO DINGS OR DENTS ON THIS INSTRUMENT ! I don`t see any repairs at all ! It has new corks and felts inside the valves and new water pads. Trumpet is ready to play upon receipt and I personally play tested it and sounds AMAZING ! BEST COMMITTEE I EVER PLAYED ! As I previously said this is original condition Martin Committee. It comes with the original case in excellent condition with Martin emblem. This Martin will come with Bach or Martin mouthpiece depends which one new owner prefers to receive with this horn. Also Brand new bottle of AL CASS oil will be included for the buyer ! and excellent condition Humes&Berg cup mute great for those jazzy tones !
